Sheila and Steve invite you to their cosy, family-run self-catering cottage, which is perched high above Swaledale in Crackpot*, the hamlet with the unforgettable name.
The cottage has two bedrooms, a double and a single, and a good-sized shower room. Downstairs are the kitchen and a comfortable living/dining room, with a cosy wood-burning stove, Freesat TV, wi-fi, a DVD player and iPod dock. This room also provides wonderful views of the dale and the surrounding fells. We can supply a child's cot and high-chair if required; no need to bring your own. Outside is a small garden, which you are welcome to share with the visiting bird-life. There's also a parking spot for a car (and covered storage for bikes is available on request). Swaledale is a paradise for walkers. There are dozens of lovely rambles on your doorstep, including the recently opened, family-friendly Swale Trail. As we live next door, we are happy to offer help and advice on local walks, as well as cycling and other activities. We look forward to welcoming you.
