The Richard III is a fine 17th century building, with eight en-suite guest rooms; five overlook King Richard III's battered but magnificent castle, and three look out on the cobbled Market Place, where race-horses clip-clop past on their way to exercise.
Located in gently rolling lower Wensleydale, on a hillside between the River Cover and the River Ure, Middleham is the horse-racing capital of the North of England, and home to a number of famous racing stables. All around are walks and drives to the quiet villages and bustling market towns of the Yorkshire Dales. If you're with youngsters who need a little more excitement, Lightwater Valley Theme Park and the Forbidden Corner are both nearby. Our comfortable, individually themed rooms have flat-screen TVs. Wi-fi is available throughout the hotel. A cosy bar area, with real fires (and real ales), and a private dining room (perfect for meetings) ensure that your visit will be as relaxing or as productive as you need. We serve breakfast, morning coffees, lunches, afternoon teas and dinner, and use locally sourced ingredients as far as possible. Sharon and Ken Ward and their friendly team look forward to welcoming you to the Richard III. Website: richard111hotel.co.uk Telephone: 01969 623240 |
