We need more 'Town Ambassadors' for our new Information Centre in the Market Hall!
Richmond Information Centre is run entirely by volunteers. As a group, we are motivated by one ambition, which is to provide information about our special bit of Yorkshire in a way that’s personable and sincere. That might mean helping visitors find somewhere to eat or spend the night, or advising residents on local bus timetables or the programme at the Station Cinema.
In our previous base, in Richmond Library, we were a team of about 20. When Coronavirus ends, we’ll need at least twice as many volunteers, to cover a seven-day operational week.
Here’s our invitation to you to put your knowledge, enjoyment of meeting people and love of Richmond to good use by joining our team of volunteers. Some of us volunteer for a few hours each week; others come in more or less often. Shifts are usually three hours or less, and if you have to miss a shift, that's fine, we can always find cover. We provide training, and promise friendly support.
For more information, chat to Bev Lawrence on 07951 662 946 or 01748 826654.
Or if you think you've got the picture, and are interested, just complete the form and we'll get back to you. We do need an email address and phone number for every volunteer, for operational purposes, but will not store them without your permission, nor share them outside our own group of volunteers.
Thanks, and we hope to welcome you as one of our friendly team!
