Free, guided town walks round Richmond
We are proud of our historic old town, and love to show it to visitors, taking parties of up to 10 people through the cobbled streets, narrow alleys and grand vistas of Richmond.
There is no charge for these walks. Any donations will help run our volunteer-staffed Information Centre or benefit the Richmondshire Museum. The walks are circular, leaving from the Market Hall. They last about 75 minutes, and are led by a knowledgeable volunteer guide. They depart at 11:00 every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. |
Please book ahead. You can
Please check in at our pod in the Market Hall a few minutes before the walk. (Or come round even if you haven't booked, in case there are spaces available.)
Suitable footwear is advised; stiletto heels are risky on cobbles! We believe the route is suitable for powered wheelchairs. Nowhere in Richmond is completely flat, but the circuit avoids any serious hills. And finally, we can't take dogs - apologies to owners.
- Visit Richmond Information Centre in the Market Hall (10:00–16:00), or...
- Phone 01748 826468 (same hours as above), or...
