Free, guided town walks round Richmond
We are proud of our historic old town, and love to show it to visitors! Twice a week we lead parties of up to 10 people round the cobbled streets, narrow alleys and grand vistas of Richmond.
There is no charge for these walks, but any donations will go towards our operating funds and the Richmondshire Museum. The walks are circular, leaving from and returning to the old Market Hall. They last about 75 minutes, and are led by a knowledgeable volunteer. They depart at 11:00 on Thursdays and Saturdays. |
Please book ahead if possible. You can
Please check in at our pod in the Market Hall a few minutes before the walk. (Or come round even if you haven't booked, in case there are spaces available.)
NB. Suitable footwear is advised; stiletto heels are risky on cobbles! We believe the route is suitable for powered wheelchairs. Nowhere in Richmond is completely flat, but the circuit avoids any serious hills. And finally, we can't take dogs - apologies to owners.
