That's what TripAdvisor says - and TripAdvisor should know, because that's the feedback from its millions of reviewers. It's no surprise to us here in Richmond. The Park is on our doorstep and (Covid permitting) we're out in the Dales as often as possible. Are you dreaming of visiting? So why not browse our Accommodation section now, build a little shortlist, and then, when restrictions are lifted...

Today Richmond starts a year of celebration: 950 years since the founding of Richmond Castle, and the establishment of this old town. You can find details of everything that's planned on the richmond950.co.uk website. Bad news first: due to the recent Tier changes, the launch event planned for tomorrow, 2 January, has been postponed. The good news: Town Crier, Barry Heap, will still welcome this year of celebrations at 12 noon on Saturday. If you've ever experienced Barry at full volume, you know that you'll be able to hear him from Scotch Corner! Photo © Tom Kolour
Here's to a Happier New Year!
Meanwhile, Richmond Market Hall - our real-life base - is temporarily closed once more, but we hope the Hall will re-open on 4 January. Watch this space. |
Welcome to Richmond Information Centre's website, the best source of information on this wonderful town. Take a look round! Archives
