Here's a Covid update from the Richmondshire branch of the Ramblers' Association:

Richmondshire Ramblers have suspended their group walks from November 5th to December 2nd, in line with government lockdown guidance. After a successful restart of walking made during September and October, it is frustrating to have to cancel upcoming walks. But every effort is being made to reschedule these in December or the new year.

Seriously. Book a break now, and you've a good chance of finding somewhere fabulous to stay when better times return. The  owner will be delighted to welcome you, and should guarantee your right to cancel if government rules mean you can't go. How can you lose?
