Chocolate beans, coffee beans... Mocha, one of the most popular shops on Richmond's Market Place, has now re-opened for caffeine fiends. Owners Dennis and Liz Graves have been slaving away during lockdown to make their amazing chocolates and rush emergency supplies all over the country - overseas too. Their Self-Isolation Survival Kits have been particularly popular, and their Fiery Fred (a chili-centred chocolate) can probably bowl out any nasty virus. Now Dennis and Liz are welcoming back their regular coffee-shop customers as well. The coffee is take-away only at present, but there are benches outside the shop and all over the market place, and the coffee is famously good.

Black Sheep Brewery in Masham has re-opened its popular Visitor Centre shop. Customers can now drop in for bottles of their favourite tipple, after midday, Wednesday to Sunday every week. It's still not exactly a full opening, but it's a glimmer of hope, and a promise of better days to come. |
