Last month saw Richmond's first Little Bird Artisan Market - and it was heaving! This Sunday the Artisan Market is back, with more of a Christmas theme. Over 50 small traders and crafts-people will be there. No need to drive to the Metrocentre, Teesside Park or even Darlo or Northallerton. Just walk into town, or park at Nun's Close, bring a big bag, and fill up with Christmas decorations, bits and pieces for your home, toys, clothes, skin- and body-care, candles and home fragrances, art, photography or crafts. For your inner shopper, there will be food and drink producers offering local cheeses, preserves, cakes, baked goods, oils and alcohol. What a great way to support local makers, and pick up presents which won't look exactly like every other gift bought at some boring high street franchise. The Artisan Market will be in Richmond Market Place, Sunday 28 Nov, 10:00 - 15:00. And the organisers are planning to make the market a regular feature next year: find details, or sign up for updates, at littlebirdmade.com.
