Richard Walls takes the road over the Buttertubs Pass every day, from his home in Wensleydale to his work in Swaledale. Could there be a better commute?
Our latest random selection from What's On Richmond is Over Buttertubs, a collection of large-format, aluminium-printed photographs of two very different dales, taken over the last four years, on balmy summer evenings, on stormy winter days, and in all of Yorkshire's many other seasons. You can also see more of Richard's stunning landscape photos at his Old School Muker Art Gallery & Craft Centre, alongside works by other wonderful artists, print makers and crafts-people. The exhibition is at The Station gallery in Richmond, and is open daily from 6 November to 17 November, 9 to 7. (While you're at The Station, be sure to visit the excellent cafe, three-screen cinema, brewery, bakery, ice-cream parlour - or simply escape from the rain!)
